Jiajing Zhang is a product designerwith a Design-Engineering M.Sc., and experience designing and delivering digital products in cross-domain consultancy settings.

I've spent the past two years in design consultancy, working across banks, e-commerce, B2B data platforms, and AI products, in markets across Europe, the Middle East, and China. My favourite part of entering a new industry is understanding its users from scratch: what their workflows look like, where the friction is, then building design solutions from there. Consultancy also got me comfortable running multiple projects in parallel and keeping pace through ambiguous early phases. It taught me that a lot of delivery problems are communication problems: getting aligned with stakeholders early, and thinking through feasibility with engineers before it becomes an issue.

During my master's, I picked up Unity and frontend code for prototyping, which got me into the habit of evaluating ideas from an implementation angle. AI tools are now a big part of how I work. I use Figma Make, Lovable, and similar tools for concept exploration, and I enjoy building side projects with Claude Code. I'm active in design communities, enjoy exchanging notes with designers from different backgrounds, and always up for a coffee chat.
